Whats up guys, some of you that have been here for a while probably remember me, I had the black 2nd gen that got 302 swapped, 4wd swapped, 5 speed swapped, lifted, painted, perfected, and then totaled shortly after D:<

I ended up selling it (crashed) along with the remains of my parts truck for a b2, I sold the b2 and saved up some money and ended up getting a 1st gen lightning.

And that's where I left off. Turns out, about a year later, 9-10 mpg sucked balls. truck was quick, handled great, fully loaded, and just plain fun but I couldnt handle the fuel economy any more.

SO, I ended up trading it for a white 2001 2wd 3.0 5spd extended cab ranger, straight up. (told you I'd come back!). pretty boring truck, but fuel economy is INSANE (averaging 26ish, yeah having a lightning taught me to drive as ECONOMICALLY as possible lmao), and its like brand new. has 223k on it (lightning had 272!), but you'd never know. not a single spec of rust, no dents, all original. Most impressive part to me is it rides smoother than my car and has ZERO rattles or squeaks or anything like that going down the road. truck is great.

anyways, no crazy plans in the immediate future unless i hit the lotto, but some day i'd love to do fiberglass fenders, skid plate bumper, nice 35's or 37's on chrome kmc beadlocks with full desert suspension (prob camburg setup up front, custom in the rear). But nonetheless i'm sure i'll need the forum here and there, I cant leave any of my vehicles alone!

feels good to be back in a ranger, they're tough to beat in practicality!

Welcome back!

I drove a Suzuki Sidekick for 6 years while my Ranger was waiting for me...it got 400 Km to a tank of gas (40 litres) and no matter what I did it could not get any better...The Ranger, a more practical truck for what I do, gets the same or better if I don't drive it like I, uh, borrowed it without the owner knowing...

Nice to see you got a good one...:icon_thumby:
