fwiw, you need to take Scotty Kilmer with a grain of salt, because he goes on occasional rants that are not supported by the facts. imho, there are a lot better sources on the web. I would start with fordtechmakuloco.

No ODB scanner port on ones this old.

I don't know buddy, they often speak of getting some out somewhere from the pump to the rails.
What I was getting at was something happened to me maybe 20 years ago, at a brand new station which I have learned not trust them too well for a while.
A new Kroger store had a new gas station I think both opened at the same time so I filled up my old 80 Chevy LUV. It wasn't long till it ran like crap and I couldn't figure what in the world it could have been.

One look in the carburetor bowl told the story, it was totally filled with some green muck, and would prove to be the end of that truck
