Are you talking about suspension lift or body lift? What kind of truck is it? 4x2, 4x4?

Last time I checked, body lifts were about $100. If you don't have the tools or know-how to build one, I doubt you could do it for less than that.

Just save up, buy the lift, and do it properly.

My credo
"220, 221, whatever it takes."
Performance Accessories body lift is highly regarded here, costs a little over $100 and a body shop could install it for a few hundred.
Downside, your front tow hooks will have to go.

there's no need to pay someone to install it for you. all you need is a floor jack and some basic hand tools and a few hours. really pretty simple if you follow the directions that come with it.
