I really want us to get a true off-road truck, and not a mini-me Raptor.

And ditch these stupid wheels and give us some that are dished and not dangerously close to the tire sidewall where they can be easily damaged by rocks.

They lost me with the rear coil overs, there is no Raptor type stuff around here to do. A multipurpose truck with payload and towing that is still fun on trails is what I would want. Not a high speed desert truck.

Agreed on the wheels. It is probably my biggest gripe about the appearance of the truck. I don't like the FWD-like offset wheels. I thought, well I can just get a set of D-slots and replace them for something better looking. I looked up the offset on the global truck (since the wheels for NA look identical) and it would still look like putting crown vic steelies on an older Ranger.

No malls around to crawl to? If F-150s are too nice to be seen actually hauling stuff, you can double down that the Raptor are too expensive to actually get dirty.

Actually around here malls are dyin'...

It would be to update from my current F-150 which apparently goes against established norms and works a fair bit for a living.

When I looked at the truck today, I was thinking that it may require fender flares so the wheels can be a little wider to be dished more.

That is what I decided too. But I am leery of doing that with unit wheel bearings.

They could do better with wheel design though. The standard aluminum wheels are pretty ho-hum. Chrome clad version are chrome clad versions of the same ho-hum wheel. Sport wheels are not too bad, Lariat wheels are pretty sharp.
