So I have a 1988 ford ranger 4wd 2.3L manual. I have no injector pulse. The fule pumps had no power so I hooked them up to a switch. I have no idea what to do or how this system works. I really want to drive this truck again. Please any help would be awsome. Thanks

Start with the basics. Have you gone through the fuses and relays? You say you hooked the fuel pumps to a switch, does that mean they now work but the injectors still aren't firing? How did you test the injectors?

I would back up two steps and figure out why the fuel pump won't run... for all you know the ECM could be bad. Does it have spark?

I checked all the fuses and relays. The truck ran for 2 weeks after I fixed the fule issue. And i unplugged a injector and used a voltmeter and had some one crank the engine

Cant test a fuel injector that way. Fuel injectors pulse to ground in terms of milliseconds (positive is always connected). A voltmeter can't read a pulse that fast. You need to use a noid light or more sophisticated testing equipment.

Will it start if you spray starting fluid in it?

Oh okay I'll get the right tools. And I poured a little gasoline down the intake and it did run for 2 seconds

Test for 12v on any Red fuel injector wire, with key on
If no 12volt then change EEC relay, Brown base relay on inner fender

Unplug TPS(throttle position sensor) and see if it starts
If TPS is shorted computer will turn off injectors
