:hi:88,Bll,2.9, i have continually had problems with my oil filter housing (the part top of the filter that bolts to the block)becoming loose and wobbly and leaking oil. i can't get one through the dealer, so i've replaced mine twice with ones from the wrecking yard but the same problem occurs. any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
thanks

I had the same problem with my 86, I used an oil filter housing off of a '98 4.0 that I had laying around and it stopped all leaks. They work better because they don't use a copper washer, its all "o" rings. Just make sure that you get all new "o" rings if you go that route.
