I have a 99 Ranger 4X4 an was thinking about cranking the torsion bars to pick up about 2” of lift then blocking the rear to level it. Can I keep the factory length shocks or will I need to get new longer shocks? I was going to replace them with Bilstein HD’s but don’t want to buy them to find out they’re not going to fit. Also will the Bilstein shocks fit any way I had problems with this before with Procomp 3000 being listed and told by one of their tecks that it would fit only to find out that it hit the front driveaxles ( I think that’s what it’s called ) when I tried to install them I found out later that only the 1000 would fit on the front.

thanks
WBH

Contact James Duff. I swapped out my rear shackles to get 2" on my rear end and also cranked up the t-bars. My shocks were maxed out. I called up James Duff and they wanted measurements from mount to mount and they were able to get me the appropriate shock. Shocks were maybe like $30 each...$3 per boot. However, James Duff's shocks are 70/30, so don't expect to be riding on a down pillow after you do all this.

I have a 99 that i did the torsion crank and put on the Bilstein 5100's as well. I had no clearance issues at all. Looking at old receipt part #'s are BIL-BE5-2794 and BIL-BE5-2795. not sure which # is for front or rear though.
