I am about to paint my 14' jon baot and need advice
http://www.fordrangerforum.com/project-logs/3218-my-14-polarkraft-jon-boat-log.html
I am not going to prime the whole thing, I just sanded the entire outside with 150 grit sandpaper to rough up factory paint. There are some bare spots where bare aluminum is; for those, i am going to spot prime with self-etching primer.
now for the advice i need. I pressure washed the boat a few months back, but forgot to before sanding. I am going to sand the inside today and ill be done sanding. is it ok for me to wash it after sanding. i was going to wash it with Dawn to remove any greasy residue, dry it, then wipe it down with some kind of miniral spirit to fully degrease it. is this ok, or will washing it mess up my sanding job?
