I'm looking to run some 255/40 or 45/17 on my 84. Currently have BT 3" drop leaf hangers, and DJM beams up front. Will this be able to turn lock to lock up front and tuck under in the back with some type of rim combination. Reason for asking is: I have a bunch of half used ultra performance tires that are track day take offs I can burn thru as daily drive tires since they will be free.

I realize this is an old thread, but maybe this will be helpful if you're still considering modding your bedsides.
Endoverend47 did it to his 1st gen. His build thread has a bunch more pics:

And a youtube vid of the same truck:

I'm having that issue with the front of mine right now pre V8.nervous that when v8 drops in tires will destroy front fenders.not sure if rolling fenders or getting flares would be best.get flares for front and back and c how it looks.alot less work and they don't look that bad

Yeah, that's one of the hard things to judge. How much some of the bedsides were pulled out just going by pictures on the net..

Just rolling the lip wouldn't be enough.
How wide r those wheels?10 wide?
