It mounts to the existing visor holes, them the visors get installed to it.

Ahh ok, that makes sense. I will look around and see if I can find one. Not in any hurry too dang cold to work on anything right now. Already -5 degrees. Finally having a good winter with a lot of snow but dang I need a garage to work in...well then I'd always be broke because I'd have a place to work LOL.

So the stock visor mounting locations are strong enough to hold that shelf and support the weight of stuff on the shelf. That's awesome. I like the shelf idea and definitely want to go that route if I can find one in tan somewhere. An excuse to get different visors too...I like it lol.

Probably would work great if you are not to tall. They do make some small, very light- weight cb's.

The brace I am talking about mounts to the two holes (or in that area) above the center visor and goes back to the brace the dome light is on.

I went out and took a pic of the brace I have in my barn. Not sure if the push button 4wd trucks have something similar or not. Could maybe use the bezel from one of those with a smaller CB radio if so inclined.

Years ago, I mounted a CB on the passenger side of the transmission hump. It cut down on the passenger's foot room, but I don't sit on that side!

Thought about that, but now that I'm going to have multiple radios I think the overhead storage shelf looks like the better idea, not to mention helps hide the wires and will allow for keeping things put away...not much storage options in the old vehicles, my newer truck has storage spots all over the place...enough so that you totally forget what is in them all LOL.

I like the look of the overhead shelf and will need to see if I can find one somewhere here pretty soon.

Got new hubs to install and a new radiator first.

Does that shelf system that attaches to the visors come with new visors, or do I need to reuse the old visors?

Or a great excuse to upgrade the sagging visors I have now HAHA!!!

I think that shelf is the way to go, I don't think it will interfere with vision as the seats in the Bronco 2 sit low enough you won't have that shelf in the way.

I tried to call JC Whitney a little bit ago about dimensions but got someone on the line that hardly spoke English so I'll be searching elsewhere for that shelf.

Looks like the shelf is about $130.

Just found that too a few minutes ago. Thank you. Exactly what I am going to order. Tons of storage space and a nice place to keep the radios out of the way yet in easy reach.
