try pushing gas pedal to the floor once or twice before turning the key.this should set the carb on the fast idle cam, engine shouls idle fast for a minute or two, then pump the pedal one time to release it to normal idle.fwiw.whats the period since last tune up?

Could be many things. including a vacuum leak - first place to look for that is the fitting behind the carb.

Pull codes would be my first step, along with a visual inspection with particular attention to vac lines.
