No not at all.....I was giving a compliment. There are guys who use a Mig Welder and can't get welds that straight or clean.

Some nice welds from the stick welder right there. Been welding with it for a while I see.
Thanks, I've been welding for about 20 years.

haha i have some idea :icon_rofl:

At one point I had both of my quads hanging from the ceiling. They were chained to the rafters like they were driving up the wall. I may still have a pic of that around.

Any updates? I am considering doing something similar for my truck.. Something like this with a windowless snugtop added and custom interior..

I would love to see a 6 wheel Ranger... Just dont do it to that one, its too nice.

I do have an update. I got new leaf hangers and 4x4 leafs to make a stiffer leaf pack with. (No pics.) After I get back from vacation (the first week of next month) I'll swap them in and send it next door to be galvanized.

You should figure out how to hook the trailer's tank and evap into the truck's systems. Use a low-pressure in-tank pump as a transfer pump to refuel the tow vehicle. I am thinking of trying something like that. Use hydro quick connect fittings to seal it all up.

I thought about that.

I mostly plan to use this behind my Explorer, there's no real need for it behind my Ranger... That already has a bed. The Ex is getting the Cummins and a 23 gallon BII tank. I figure I should have about a 600+ range on 1 tank of fuel. I dont think I'll need the extra fuel.

@snoranger...

I've been kicking around this very idea for a future project... when I get back to Michigan. What ever happened to the trailer? Hanging from the rafters? I was hoping to see a finished project at the end of this read.

I never quite finished it. I put it all together before I left that job. It's on the road and I use it once in a while. I never get around to painting it.

It tows great loaded or empty (it's a little bouncy empty, but not too bad.) I picked up a set of 2nd gen 10 hole aluminum wheels and trailer tires for it. The pics were taken before I put them on.

Pretty cool... Glad to see you got it going down the road. I'm sure someone out there would pay up a bit to sport that behind their 1st Gen.

I really hope to get a chance to spend more time camping, hunting, fishing and exploring within the next couple years. I thought about a purpose built camping trailer... but my vision seems to end up with a truck bed trailer that matches the truck.

At any rate... thanks for the update.
