Hi guys, I have an 87 Ranger longbox that I am slowly restoring, I picked up an 88 4x4 a few years back that came with a S-load of basically new or ultra low mile OEM parts stored since 88 which I am now transferring to my 87.
The problem I have right now, the rear driver side of the truck is about 1 inch or so lower than the other side, and the new bed- bumper I installed is really showing the droop on the left side corner, you can really see the twist in the box.
NOS factory leaf springs from the parts I have were just installed thinking that the old springs were the cause of the rear droop. The frame looks fine (i could be wrong) the front suspension is good The same problem was evident with the old 87 ranger springs and bed installed.
Measuring from the axle pad center to the bottom of the frame on both sides shows that the driver’s side is lower.
What should I be looking at to correct this problem?
