Fellow Ranger owners -
The time has come to do a complete AC retrofit on my truck.
As the title says, it's a 97, 3.0, 5 sp. 170K on the clock.

I'm looking for recommendations for a Manufacturer or distributor that puts out a solid high quality
AC replacement kit for my truck.

Something that will last. I'm not afraid to pay for quality.
Thanks in advance

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
I put a Vintage Air Mini system in my 93 but it was far from a bolt in. The truck was formerly a drag truck so there was no hvac system in it at all and I had the can completely gutted when I installed it. I don't believe you'll find an actual retro fit kit but I wish you luck.

I installed a full kit in my heater only 97 w/ 2.3 and 5 speed. I did a quick search of the internet and I think I got it through ACKITS.COM as the site looks familiar. Took a full day to install but looked stock on the truck and worked great. Had the truck for 5 years after that and never had an issue with the kit. The 2.3 was underpowered and I would have to turn off the AC if trying to pass on the highway since the ECU does not account for the compressor engaging. Overall I would definitely recommend.
