Any explorer/ranger/aerostar rim up untill 97 will share a 87 Rangers bolt pattern correct?

Also a 235/75R15 should be ok clearence wise on the rear (only) of an 87 2wd correct?

Im wondering because the 205/75R14 stockers have limited tire options, and the cheapo discount tire GT radials i tossed on rusty 2.0 are fine in the summer, but i doubt they are gonna be worth a shit in the snow.

My goal is to go to the boneyard and yank a couple 15s off something and buy a couple goodyear wrangler radials for the back. Had them on my colorado and they are amazing in the snow and priced right.

Crown Vic and Mustang too (not to be confused with Mustang II ;))

At this point it might not be bad to consider 16+, 15 is about the new 14.

I knew vic and mustang would work to. But those are harder to find in boneyards.

I havent priced 16's, but im guessing their more expensive then a tire for a 15. Plus even BFG offers the KO2 in a 235/75/15 so even if i decided to go that route i could, but they are alot priceier then the goodyears and once winters over ill put the 14s back on.

I don't count birthday's anymore...just happy to be looking down at the ground instead of looking up
Too bad your so far away Rusty...
Still have my oe 15 inchers from my 2009 and I would make a good offer but your too far away, and shipping would be as much as the rims would cost.
Now, if you wanna take a road trip down here to the Va mountains.....

Any Ranger rim should work as far as I know. Explorer through '01.

As Justin said above - seriously consider going to 16's. The selection of 15's is diminishing quickly and the costs are about the same.

I get staying with 15's on a older truck though, I don't really care for the look of bigger wheels. But for ease of procurement they are a step in the right direction.

My current tires were like new on craigslist a couple years ago. I have been watching for a new to me set and it seems 31's have gone extinct.

10.50s or 9.50s?

10.50s seem pretty plentiful.

Since the 15 in tires im gonna get might be seeing 4000 mi a year they'll pry outlast the truck honestly.

These are what i wanna get. They only come in a 235/75/15 and i can get them online for 60 a tire. I had them on my colorado back during the real bad 13-14 winter, and even with 0 weight in the back i never had any issue. Except the time i framed it out in a drift. Since the ranger actually has truck like ground clearence i should be ok lol.

If they made them in bigger sizes id switch from the BFG A/Ts i run on my 3/4 tons.

10.50, I would like 9.50 but I never ever see them.

Right now there is a mixed pair an hour away and a pair of Nexan MT's in Kansas. After that the next closest ones are down by St Louis Missouri.

Since I'm in the same boat as you rusty, with the 14" rims and there being very little selection for that size, in my searches I have found that the 16" tire prices are about the same as 15" so I am currently in the market for a set of 16's off an explorer for mine. Looking for the oblong D shaped 16x7's 98-07 style actually. I actually found a tire that cost less in the 16" rims than the cheapest I could find in the 14" size when I recently had a not so round tire.

This is just what I have found looking around.
