DNC has been the headline long enough, who is in for Rogue One in a few days?

AMC had a goof on their app so we are going Friday, I didn't catch it at the time but they showed nothing for Thursday on it.

I haven't seen the trailers for it and no ads in Canada for it in my area. Just searched on it and they had a one second clip that didn't inspire me to spend $30 or more on a movie and popcorn...:)

Saw the first few movies in the theater but haven't been inside one for 25 years and haven't been following Star Wars much since then...

Might wait for the DVD...

Its like $10 here and I am cheap so I don't do popcorn.

I can't do 3d, the glasses on top of my glasses gives me a headache.

I haven't watched any trailers either... for an entirely different reason. :icon_twisted:

I might. The last two times my sister was home we saw the new Star Trek and new Star Wars movies. She will be back here again in about a week.

$10??

That's not too bad...

When my sister came over to help me after my surgery she brought a DVD player and we watched quite a few movies that I'd been wanting to see for a long time. I can get just about anything at my local library so the cost is minimal (gas and time). It will probably be on the shelf in three months or so depending on distribution and all that...

I actually like the movies but my lifestyle for the last 30 years just didn't include watching movies...but now I'm hooked...at least for the next few months until I can get out more...and I had to give up popcorn...:)

OK...I just saw the first trailer...and read a blurb about the movie as to where it fits into the whole story...

Still haven't seen the ads for it in theaters around here but I will keep looking for it...'

Price just doubled.

Had tickets for tonight but we got an ice storm, I barely made it home after work let alone the hour drive to the theater. Hoping for Sunday now (storm is supposed to continue tomorrow)

I'm no Star wars fan. But it was funny. I liked it, gf paid....I wouldn't have, but I'm not really a fan of the theater or movies or TV in general

I thought it was a really good movie. Especially considering the time difference it ties into ANH very nicely. Almost kind of cheapened TFA really (which I also thought was good)

Watching A New Hope tonight :D

I'm going to the library tomorrow to see what they have in Star Wars...I've seen all the really old ones so I will need to look at what is available since 1990...lol

Looks like

Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith...episodes I II and III...

Don't forget Episode 7 too. :icon_thumby:

Some hate the prequals, I thought they were pretty good. They do get better as they go though.

I have just got home with episodes I, II, and III...should be a long night...

Oh, and I was just informed by the librarian that Rogue One is playing in town...started just recently and she expects it to be running for a while...there isn't that many people in my little town or even the surrounding areas so not sure how long they can keep it running...if I could sit in a theater seat comfortably I might chance it...:)

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
me and lil bob and my son in law went to see it...it was interesting....more interesting to see vader in the tank with what looked like most of his actual arms as well. the vader outfit was killer and the princess running off with the data was a good touch.

and i really believe they used some of the original footage from the y wing scenes.....and red 5, we know what happened to that poor bastard now...

what surprised me, was disney killing everybody. pleasantly surprised at that.

the end on the moon was epic.....

reminded me of this...

I swear they had Biggs stuck in there too for a brief second.

The commander of Red Squadron, the guy whose torpedoes exploded on the outside of the Death Star in the first movie, they used unused footage from when they made the first movie for where he is talking about what to do in the command center.

The faces of Tarkin and Leia were digitally imposed on other actors (Tarkin came out really good I thought)

I knew when they cast a former kickboxer for Vader he was going to be good. :D

I looked for this and anything else...they don't seem to have them on the shelf so I might have to see if they have them to borrow from other libraries...

And, as I'm sure you heard...we just lost Carrie Fisher...was she in Rogue One or was that another movie they were making?
