95 xlt 2.3 auto. many, many miles
came off the highway after 5 hours at 70ish (tow dolly but no load- the intended was too rusty)
first light sputtered and died. pushed out of traffic, waited 5 min at most, fired up, ran ok did this several years ago. i think i wound up replacing the fuel pump. and i may have swapped a tps out of the parts truck. don't remember last time i did a hard drive but i am wondering about the throttle position sensor i would think a bad fuel pump would die giving fuel at high flow, not when the fuel flow was reduced.
as this truck is due for replacement (aucton is next sat am) i wont do anything if it keeps running. but i am curious.
any ideas?
