Hello my name is Craig and I've been having starter problems for about two yrs now I've put a new flywheel on new bendix in numerous time and I'm still getting a hard grinding when I try and start the motor so now days I just make sure I have a hill near by and flintstone it. My question is on a 1990-1991 Ford ranger 2.9L standard transmission did the bendix gear have a different rotation in the gear ears (what I call them?) Meaning when u look they are slanted or grooved on the left side when looking at it from the end during those yr models were they ever made with the slat/groove on the right side instead?
