My credo
to prevent Found On the Road Dead, Fix Or Repair Daily
The steering shaft isnt centered. A good alignment would take this into account. This is not to say that the alignment is bad, just that the shaft isnt centered in the box and may be slightly loaded one way or another.

Turn your steering wheel to one lock. Then turn it back 2 turns and center appropriately. Shut off engine, get out, and check the wheels. See if they are straight. If not, you are not getting good alignments.
