Street use Fx4 lvl 2 swaybar question

I recently purchased my third Ranger having finally nailed down a low mile charcoal grey 2007 Fx4 lvl 2 and I've been searching the forums for literally weeks now finally caving in and making an account.... Does the rear swaybar swap (BII, explorer, or preferably ranger) work with the fx4 specifically? This ranger is rarely going to see anything more than a dirt road and I'd like to gain a bit more cornering. Would I have to do some modification having the larger diameter axle tubes? I'm trying to find something I can just drop in, preferably on the cheap

A rear sway bar may help keep the truck from leaning as much in a corner but I highly doubt it will make it faster around a corner. I have raced in SCCA for more than thirty years and know that stiffening the rear loosens the rear. Rangers already tend to be slightly loose and a sway bar in the rear should tend to make that worse.

If you are planning to add a tall camper, then the sway bar is a good idea but cornering fast would not be recommended.

I have heard of people putting sway bars on the rear of a Ranger and like it but I don't think they are driving on the edge while cornering. If you want to just feel more comfortable going around corners at less than optimum speed, go for it. I know when I disconnect my front sway bar for off-road use, it leans a lot in corners when I get back on pavement. That is very uncomfortable and is a reminder to reconnect the sway bar.

Sorry, I can't answer your question about it fitting but I suspect it would because the Level II is not different in the rear suspension than other 4WD Rangers of similar model years. As you noted it just has larger axle housing tubes.

I suppose I should have been a little more specific; yes, I'm trying to improve the feel while cornering. My 93' rwd felt loads better in the corners than this one which I can only assume is due to the ride height.

My remaining question for the forum would then be axle tube fitment. Would the bracket from a ranger fit on the larger axle tubes or would I need to acquire the brackets from an Explorer to make this work?

I have been told when swapping to the larger axel tube one would want to acquire u-bolt brackets from an F-150 as it has a similar tube under leaf arrangement to the ranger with the same OD rear end. They can probably be obtained pretty cheap at a junk yard.
Alternatively ruffstuff sells aftermarket brackets for this conversion, they are about 50 bucks for a set but seem pretty solid, to the point of excess. I have yet to install them on my truck.
