I'm getting an intermittent high pitched squealing noise when driving, the only time it happens somewhat reliably is right when I first touch the brakes. Also, there is a somewhat metallic rubbing noise that usually occurs at low speeds, especially when hitting bumps.

Both sounds seem to be coming from the front wheel area and only occur while driving. I'm guessing its something wrong with the suspension, any ideas where to start?

Not much up there that would cause a constant noise even when not going over bumps.

Sounds like a wheel bearing or maybe a CV.

I agree, wheel bearing or cv joint. Or possibly a caliper binding because of sticking slide pins.

Sounds like a control arm bushing may be shot (almost guaranteed if the noises you describe are accompanied by any clunking).

If no clunking, then maybe it could be an axle hub seal, which have occasionally been reported to make noise (search for "Excluder seals").
