Hi all wanted your help or suggestions of what could be my issue here.
My Ranger has a 5R44E transmission and has been down for quite some time and won't engage into any gears. I have rebuilt my transmission in attempt to resolve my issue. Transmission has a new Overdrive sprag due to the original was busted, new seal/gaskets, all new clutch rings, and new torque converter. Valve body has transgo shift kit installed. All solenoids have been tested and function properly and all get proper voltage. I did find one thing odd about the solenoids in the valve body shift solenoid C is constantly on where as the others are off but have constant ground. Shift link is in working condition. Bands are in good condition. Torque converter was seated and installed correctly. Confirmed that the pump is functioning (fluid goes down when engine is running vs engine off).
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what could be causing this?

100% of automatic transmission problems are caused by having an automatic transmission.

That's about as helpful as I can be on the matter.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

11 out of 10 mechanics agree with that statement.

I'm also told that having a throat or mouth puts you at risk for throat or mouth cancer.

Don't listen to anything they said... 87% of the time they make up statistics.

Hey, I already admitted that I wasn't being helpful.

I can't even get my own automatic back together correctly. I'm so pissed at it I am seriously considering dumping the kids somewhere for a day to drive it out to Transman in Morgantown WV. That's about a 4 hour trip for me.

There are pressure ports on the case. You best coarse of action is to find a diagram and test all the pressures. That would point you in the right direction.
