i think he is saying that most tires with this type of tread come with about 1/2" depth brand new. after 7 mos. and 8k miles, he has just under 1/2" which would be very minimal wear, imho.

the guard dogs have a deeper tread. they also look like they are more aggressive in the center tread pattern. i'd bet money no one else in your neck of the woods would have anything close to that tread pattern!! for your dd, i'd go with the crawlers. for trails, mud, etc., i'd go the guard dogs. just my $.02.

I can buy Nexen Mt's which dont look half bad for about 113.40 ea, which is just less than what they want for the retreads shipped.... I think i'll just buy from my suppliers...oh 31*10.50*15's

Not a bad looking tire and a lot of talk of them. I think I'll stick with Interco till I'm running the last one I can get my hands on and under my truck. Never let me down yet, if ya don't mind the highway manners, the whine, the following the ruts in the asphault. souping up the gooey mud, one lug pullin ya over a rock or ledge! They're the best tire out there since I can't get my grubby meathooks on any Denman Groundhawgs anymore. :(:(

Treadwright Crawlers

+4 on Treadwrights

I've got a set of 235/75r-15 Crawlers w/ 3k+ on them. They took very little weight to balance (one tire took no weight at all!), which is good for new tires and wheels but it's great for 23yo wheels and retreaded tires. I ordered them on a Saturday evening and they were on my porch Tuesday morning.
They are loud. But I would certainly buy more.
I have a good pic of them on my profile page, gonna have to work on getting it to a post.
