TRS Trailride truck roll call

Thanks. I'm hopeful that whatever caused the oil pressure loss is an easy diagnosis, and that I don't need any significant machine work. Frustrated is an understatement at this point. For what's a pretty easy conversion, this project has turned into a near 2 year fiasco.

I'll see if stuff looks mild. My '08 Sport Trac isn't nearly as built as my old '05. Gots no front tow hook, no skidplates, no limited-slip. May or may not have funds for new tires by then and the transmission is getting slacky.

Hey... I'll be passing you in about 2.5 hours. I'm on IS81 heading to Scranton Pa.

Driving all the way through? You're welcome to crash here.

I'm planning on being there in my gray 99. It's been a long 6 weeks to get it to where I am now. New heads, headers, clutch, clutch lines, brake lines, brakes, mini spool, tires, electric fan, water pump, harness bar, axle seals and bearings, tires. And I still have a few things to do. But I should be there.

This thing clearly isnt going to make it. We have had 2 kids since I started this project.

I bought this 1996 for this event. Had to fix a few things. Weld the rear, toss on some 33s/35s and roll.
HOWEVER, its turning out to be a nice truck. And I really like the OBS so I might flip it instead :icon_confused:

BUTTTTT I found another OBS that I am going after tomorrow. Its its more ready to ride on tons and 40s. Time will tell!

Also, I am local to this place. Be warned, its 90% JK on 33s lol

Don't be hating on my JK friends with no lift haha

If you have 17" wheels, I have a 50% used set of 255/75/17 (32's) duratracs I'll let you have for cheap. I want them out of my garage...

Until the RBV army lands next week...

Was the frame as bad behind the spring bucket as I am picturing? Mine wasn't near that bad and I had a hole in the frame...

Absolutely stunning photo.

Also, please pardon my feeble attempts to mimic, but here's KaP buttoned up and ready to go for the trail ride. I don't think I'm going to make any other changes (other than a bath) before then.

No offense but if you get that thing stuck don't expect me to come running to pull you out...

No worries there lol

1. I dont care for mud. I avoid it at all costs
2. I just plan to put around. I need it working for a ride on the 21st
3. It does have a 12k front and 15k rear winch. But I dont want to try them out yet.
4. Southington does have dozers & large excavators if needed. I hope none of us has to use this resource. Its fun to watch it used on others though.
