I am wondering if the 2.3 block in my 97' ranger is suitable for a turbo convertion? Reason being it has distributor less ignition. Just wondering if was worth messing with or if I should just find a older block with a distributor? Because I am asuming if I wanted to swap a TC computer in that it wont work with coil packs? Thanx for any help on this..

The block isn't the problem. Your block is actually a better block to use than a turbo coupe block. As far as I know, only the 2.5 doesn't have a distributor hole.
Also, you posted in the wrong forum, It should be in "forced induction"
