Yeah I am runnin down to the junkyard later today to pull a VW intercooler and to look for scavenge pumps....
And thanks for answering my backpressure question :) Im going to run stock injectors for now. I know for sure it can handle 5-7 PSI.

Updates for today!
I cleaned out the engine bay. Pulled out my radiator and gave it a GOOD flush. I took out the AC condenser out and it made a huge difference in running temp with nothing in front of the radiator. There is enough room now to fit an intercooler no problem!

The rebuild kit hasn't come in yet. Im hoping tomorrow

UPDATE!
The turbo rebuild kit came in today! I went and picked it up.....:annoyed:..... IS THAT ALL????!! I paid 150 bones for a little baggy of 3 C clips, 2 small floater bearings, 2 rubber band lookin gaskets, and a oil gasket!!! :flipoff: as I walked out the door hahaha... JK

ANYWHO, I put the turbo back together in about 20 min. Now there is no shaft play! I guess the 150 bones will save me in the long run and the turbo can last a long time. I also found out the guy I bought it from didn't run oil through it when he had it on his honda... Dumb ass ;brownbag;.... and when I took out the old gaskets they crumbled apart. But all is fixed and well!

Im am stuck till Saturday cuz i gots no moneys! My band is playin in Westcliff and i am goin to make 150 bones, so i can get my piping

droool.....man i wish i thought of this...make a very good build threeas so we can tech page it and i can do this to one of my trucks!!!...lol
Ill be sure to be very thorough (sp?) in my build write up, with lots of pics :D

UPDATE for today:
I just got back into town from my band gig. Made enough money to get me my external wastegate to control boost. I will order it tonight.

I have to wait for my BOV and piping to get in. Once that all gets here, It will be one good day of work, welding, and PICTURES! she will be good to go!:icon_hornsup:

The only reason to run an intercooler is if you're experiencing detonation when running the desired boost.

If you're not, there's no reason for an intercooler.

Of course there is, colder air is denser air...cooler charge air is denser than warmer charge air......intercooler means cooler charge air (if done post turbo preintake) and denser air is good.
