You wouldn't be interested in changing your wheels while you're at it for more of a difference?

That pic was taken when I got the side boards done, and shortly after got new rims. I'm an old school guy and thus got the rims now pictured.

OK, here's the almost finished project. Still have to run a fine pinstripe around the edge of the vinyl panels.
Just got it back today...
What do you all think ?

Looks great! The pin stripped edging will surely give it more depth.

This confirms my thoughts!

I'll just paint the rig in one color and go back to get the vinyl wrap for the 2 tone.

Couple of things...
There was no damage/dents/paint scratches on the panels I had done, so there wasen't anything to fix/repair. Just a wipe down with wax remover. A custom paint shop estimate was between $2500 and $3000 for the panels due to them having to remove all the lights, trim, door handles, prepping the area and blocking the non painted areas. Then paint and clear.
The vinyl wrap ran me $600. They used the same quality vinyl as they use on the police/sheriff/emt rescue rigs they have done. Supposed to have a 9 year life. But the Ranger is garaged so I'm not too worried about weather damage.
Just have to be careful when working around with tools, buckles, ect as there is no real way to "touch up".
If I were having the entire truck painted, then I would have gone the two tone paint route. But just getting the panels done by themselves was a bit too expensive.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm undecided whether I would keep my 2 tone or not. I've never seen it not a 2 tone, so its hard to imagine it without it.

On the other hand, I "may" paint this rig myself..... I would like to learn how to on something, and this seems like a good rig to be my first try....

I really like how they left a white stripe over the wheel arch's. It stops the look of hey I drew 2 strait lines down the side and put color between them. Can't wait to see the pin stripe on there now.

Thanks. Gonna be awhile till I pinstripe it. Have to wait for a warmer day to lay it down properly. 30's now, but if it hits 40 or so my garage heater should get it to where I need it.

Well, finished pin striping hood and left side. Have to wait for afternoons when temps get a bit higher to properly stripe.
Opinions ???

I like it! Thought you were going to go a different a color, burgundy IIRC, for the pin stripe though? Or maybe it is me because it looks like the the same color grey. I'm a bit jealous now.

The pinstripe is burgundy. It's just a 1/8 inch pinstripe and does look dark in the pic. Looks good in person, just enough color to set it off.

May be a sunny day pic will help the color show better between them?
