Hi, while searching through a junkyard, I found a Motorcraft 2100 with 1.21 venturis. Is this too much for the 2.8? Thanks, Lucas.

Yes, too much for the 2.8l, the 1.21 was made for 5.0l and up displacement
2150 is a better carb overall in any case, with 1.08

It will run with the 2100 but very hard to keep running at idle and MPG will be in the toilet, it will have good power

Holley 350cfm was often recommended but had the same issue with 2.8l as the 2100 with 1.21(351cfm)

So is there any reason I couldnt swap 1.08 venturis to the 2100?

The venturi's are part of the carb body.

So it would have a really rough idle, but good power in higher RPMs if i'm understanding correctly

It certainly won't be any better than the 1.08 up high, and worse in general driving than a correctly sized unit.

My credo
A legend to the old man, a hero to the child...
1.21 venturi is whats on my 400 IIRC.

Contrary to popular belief, over carburation is a thing.

The 2100/2150 motorcraft is a good carb, but you need, like stated to find the smaller jetted version.
