In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
This frees up some space.

This will clean up your entire engine bay to the point you won't even realize the engine is there.

I've read about those olds with a transaxle but never been close up. Is the transaxle in the stock location for tire placement? I daydreams about a mid engine for my race truck.

Have no idea. I just googled up "pick up trucks with engine in rear bed" and it and several others popped up.
Possible there is a build thread for it.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Please! Some of the Mopars from the 60s were awesome, I'll give credit where credit is due...
But seriously?! Dodge trucks are so bad that even the fan base ignores the fact they made trucks until the Cummins engine showed up. Dodge has been building pickups pretty much forever, but for some reason a first gen refers to the 80s trucks!?!?!

I think that is also when "Ram" came out. So first gen Ram would be in the late 70's-early 80's.

I thoroughly enjoy driving my grandpa's '70 D20. It has my favorite shifter feel of anything I have driven, has the perfect (to me) ratio of polished feeling and notchyness.

SSSSHHHH :secret:... I just like picking on PJ for his Mopar and 2.9L fetishes. I really don't have anything against Dodges. Don't tell him.

The difference here isn't that the S10 has fewer parts, it was built with a different design philosophy.

See Chevy knew and acknowledged from day one that their stuff is junk and will need to be worked on, so they left room to do it.

Ford believes that their designs are perfect and will never need service of any kind, and that anyone who dares question that by attempting to work on it should suffer, so they don't leave any room.

LMAO!!!

I've been meaning to delete the ac in mine. It hasn't worked for years and I don't miss it at all. Mostly a windows down driver anyways. Even in my Lightning. Ac still works in it but I never use it.

As far as the ac helping the window defroster, mine works fine even though the ac doesn't work. Been this way for near on ten years.

Great - it 'gets the job done'. It's still not even close to what a functioning A/C system can do for defogging the glass.

It's basically a t drive turbo 400.....Riviera and eldorado used it as well....BOP pattern of course.
