Yeah, mine starts at -40, but it sure don't like it.
At -40, I don't start well either... and at that temp I think I will call in to work, stay in bed and give the Ranger a day off as well....(or work from home and still give the Ranger a day off and still get paid without blowing a PTO day...)

I'd like to say that mine didn't like -40 because it was a 2.9, but my Fit didn't like -40, either. Then again, it was a lawnmower with a 9v Energizer for a battery.
FIFY.

Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you. 😘

My credo
get outta my way, I'm falling!
drove the 2005 down to Upper Sandusky to get it Fluid Filmed. earlier it didn't want to start. something about 20-50 oil and 9 degrees.
a quick squirt of "extremely flammable" carb cleaner and all was good.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Well I had plans of working on the truck yesterday but I ended up falling asleep early. Woke up at 2:30am and thought about fixing the brake line but it was 2:30 and I said EF THAT! Then I planned on fixing it this morning before work and that didn't happen either. I am not a morning person.... Plan is to fix the brake line today and hopefully (knock on wood) the truck will be ready to spank some 2.9 ass! HAHA

Meanwhile, I'll dress for the weather, head out the door, and not even notice that the temperature is -40.

Shut it, you!

I'll have you know that the Honda Fit is an extremely reliable, practical, fuel efficient small car. I just wish they'd put a bigger battery in it, better suited to Saskatchewan winters. 300 CCA isn't enough to spin that 1.5l engine over at -40, let alone -20.
