I found a guy that has at least 4 Rangers with the 2.8 v6 that he is parting. I'm thinking about stripping everything that could be used by someone before these get scrapped. What are some parts that are getting hard to come by?

Carburetors, clips on the valve covers for spark plug wires. Support pieces that go under the valve cover bolts. Thermostat housings.

The lower right water fittings - if they're still good. Any carbs and attached items.
If they have original smog parts, grab them for the poor souls that still need them.

All the coolant housings top and bottom along with the bi-metal valves. Then the carbs. Personally I would save the whole engine. You can always post them on E-Bay or CL, complete, local pickup, for $200 and someone will buy them.

If it has the two piece thermostat housing on the intake manifold they are iike gold. Otherthan valve guide seals it was the best thing i did for my 2.8
