Any ideas where I can find stronger, aftermarket torsion bars for the 05 Ford Ranger?

Sport Trac bars are stiffer. No one makes aftermarket bars as far as I know.

#1 Bars can be found in Sport Tracs and FX4 Rangers. Theyre the stiffest bar available...

Yes, they will fit...theyre all interchangable. Its hard to say what that truck has been through, but being only an 05 I doubt theyre worn. If your looking for lift, get the #1 bars, be advised they ride stiffer too.

What bars do you have now?

My B bars that came on my 01 were gone by the end of '07. Replaced them with #1 bars and those are about gone too as they're sagging but still do their job.

Only place to get replacement new bars is from your local Ford dealer. They are VIN# based...meaning you can't just ask for #1 torsion bars for a 04 Ranger....they'll ask for a vin# to see the build code of the truck and get you the bars that came on that vin#.

The problem you describe: passenger side all the way in and the driverside all the way out???? TOTALLY OPPOSITE should be happening. And it's totally normal because there's more weight on the driverside and the adjustment bolts are the same length. Totally normal is driverside in alot deeper than the passenger side.
