I have a '94 Ranger 4x2 I'm thinking of converting to 4x4. If I can find a 4x4 3.0 transmission will it bolt to the case I have behind my 4.0/M5OD in the parts truck?

Sorry for such a simple question that I could likely find if I was on a computer... this is just a little project that dropped into my lap.

That I know of, the 3.0L and 4.0L trans are the same except for the bell housing. May want to see what others have to say though.

All 1350s and 1354s will fit any 4cyl and 6cyl RBV trannies. V8 Explorers being different.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
