Break out the multi meter and start checking where it stops getting power. Is their 12 volts at the fuse? Is the relay getting power? Power coming out of the multi function switch? Power at the motor?

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
2001 model. Doesn’t that have a GEM? Could be an issue with that. I’m not sure how to check it though.

Generic Electronic Module. It's the computer for the non engine/transmission related components.
