  • Sorry I have not responded until now, I have been takeing care of two dogs the we had fixed. Anyway I have already installed rear diff from a 2000 Explorer, the disc brakes makes a world of difference. I just ordered some 4.88 for the front diff today. For right now I am going to cut down the axles. but plan on upgrading to chrome molys when I can afford them. I plan on installing a E locker on the front also when I can get some $$$$.
what rear are you using stock 8.8? and are you planing to cut your axle shafts or are you going to use early bronco shafts
Thanks, Good information, I will use the angle iron trick to shorten. I was over thinking the whole process.I do have the 7 degree wedges also. I was looking into making an alignment jig, but when I see how deep the bore on the casted wedges are,it looks like there is no room for era(except on getting the position the correct.)
No problem, today I have family over so I'll make it fast 6"off the passenger side of the axle and caster is set with the poly wedges at the axle and I used 7 degree wedges camber is a set position but if you want to a just it they sell camber shims not the swivel kind on the ball joint but a plate that go's between the knuckle and spindle, and I used angle iron to scribe a line on the axle to put the knuckle back on the axle the same position/angle it came off. anything else just ask, I'll check back later.
