HP releif valve setting???

Yes on the back of the compressor :) most people call it a pop off I suppose.

We/I use/ed dry nitrogen to pressurize systems, rather not waste refrigerant needlessly.

Nitrogen comes in high-pressure bottles and used with a two stage regulator like you see on a welding set. it is very possible to pop; seals, hoses, crimp joints, and of course relief valves. It seems to pop off about 250 which seems strange. Psi of 400 "ish" is my guess,
Bad guage more likely.. now where is that new set??

I don't recall the exact setting, but I think it was in the neighborhood of 500 PSI. I've seen them leak though.

Don't remind me. I got roped into covering someone else's shift on Saturday, and now rain and cold for two days.
