body lift or suspension lift

whats better if im just going for a cool look to my 95 bone stock 2.3l 2wd standard ranger a small body lift so i can out bigger tires on it or an actual lift kit? whats cheaper easier, safer for truck, will cause least damage or affects on truck, and will let me do it without having to add anything extra?..i just want something i can slap on and thats it no other parts or work needed for it to work?

Body lift for sure will meet your criteria.

I am personally against body lifts, sure they are somewhat cheap if you want some lift, but I think poorly done ones look stupid, just my 2 cents.

I agree, but if you just want cheap height and don't care about a huge gay gap above your bumpers, body lift is the way to go.

what size do you think i should do?and what tires could safely fit to where they dont rub or cause dramatic drop in gas milage or performance

blakeandress1 04-15-2012 02:56 PM

how size you think will look good and wont cause me any problems to my trucks body or performance

With a body lift you don't run much risk of anything really. Just get it done right that's all. Bigger tires means bigger gears if you don't want to lose too much performance.

ya thats wat i was thinking.. what tires should i use? 225/60/15 or 215/60/14 or what?idk how to calculate any offroad tire sizes and want something tuff but not too big or expensize like i think something alilbit smaller than 31's

killj0y 04-15-2012 03:43 PM

I run 31s fine with 3.73 gears...

But then again I didn't need a lift for that too. If you want smaller than 31s don't bother getting any kind of lift lol. Besides it will name the tires look even smaller...
