Got 6,000 miles on this beast now. Got all the windows tinted to my usual. And picked up a $189 amazon bed cover until I can find a decent used cap.

Good to see you're still making some progress even though it sounds like life has been keeping you busy. My welding buddy picked up a big job that has to be done before the end of the year so my V8 explorer SAS is on hold for now.

Got the junk to the new house. Getting a dead, non-steering truck on a trailer is always fun.

Hand winched

New "shop" is small with a dirt floor. But hey, its betting than outside! and has 100amps running to it.
Currently working on a new outbuilding to replace this one. I am allowed 1500 sq ft without causing a bi*ch session with the city. I am leaning towards knocking this one down and starting over vs adding on and raising the roof of the current 30 year old pole building. Currently chasing down cost for a 32x46x12. 14 tall if the township will let me. Max height is a percentage of your house height.
The last garage was 32x40 with 2 doors on the short side. I disliked the flexibility of moving things around with that setup.

And for fun

Did you buy another house?
Negative.
Sold mine in June.
Moved to a rental from June to Dec.
Bought my new house in early Nov. It is a 1958, one owner, never updated gem. Spent several weeks tearing out carpet, redoing floors, fixing gutters, paint, etc. Moved in 2 weeks ago. :icon_thumby:

Updates? I need some motivation to get going on my SaS. I recently changed my plans from my 99 explorer to my 99 ranger. I lucked out and bought the built axles from the SaSed explorer I sold to a friend.

Negative. :(
Still unpacking my garage. Got some concrete quotes. Should have that done by spring so I can start wrenching on this thing again.

With this weather, I have been focusing on house project. Im too old to work in the cold haha

My son and I went on a back road cruise in the tow pig though. Found some dirt roads and had some fun. We have the itch to wheel...

My son wants to go wheeling and camping. So we pulled the bender out.

10'-5" light duty sliders... Ok, HD Steps...

I do need to update this thing. Wow. And I need to move my pictures to my new host site since photobucket got greedy.

ZF is in. 1356 is in. I need to install a clock ring on the 1356. It hangs way low. I will get some pictures up loaded to night. Not much progress over this long period of time.

Sliders are welded. Just haven't been installed. Need to work up the urge to weld plates to my new frame...

will the bw1356 fit with the clocking ring between the rails or are you going to have to shift the drive-train over?

i know when i did the v8 swap on my old bronco ii it was Tight with np208 in the stock location. but the frame is narrower than the gen 2 explorers/98+ rangers

ive bee using https://imgur.com/ to host mine.

and i don't blame you on the frame, you still have the factory coating on it LOL, even with my 02 f250 frame i would have a hard time welding to it and it has surface rust on it lol

Got the ZF5 bolted in. I had to cut a few unneeded tabs off the bell housing and the tunnel near the gas pedal needed some BFH love.
Then got the 1356 bolted in. The frame needed a little notch. It does hang down lower than I would like. I bought a clock ring from Great Lakes Off Road. Need to get that installed.

Next on the list is to get a trans X-member fabricated up.
