So I purchased a Danger Ranger today, 1990, 4.0, D35, 8.8, single cab long bed...So.....Here is the deal. The Truck has a blown A4LD, and I have a M5OD just sitting....The Truck has 100,000 miles and runs like a top. I also have two BII's with some potential, a 5.5" lift and a 4" lift, A D35 and 7.5 with 4.56's and lockers and a set of 33' muds...so...
Should I
1.Keep the Ranger, put the 5.5" lift on her, throw the axles/lockers under her and have a Danger Ranger and throw the 4" on the BII and DD

2.Pull out the 4.0, swap it into one of my BII's, throw the lift and axles under it and Put the 4" on the other BII, some 32's and DD it, SCRAP the Ranger

BII or Ranger? My name is BlackBII...

Should I keep the BII legend going or go bassackwards and go with a White Ranger? Hmmm.....

Too bad it's a Single cab....It is Rust Free Though...

:annoyed:

hmm, maybe you shoulda put in a poll,

I would say leave everything how it is and throw some f-150 coils and washers and some blocks in the rear and slap on some 33's, because I personally dont like to single out any RBV's

Either way is good, just depends on what you need it to do. The Ranger already has a 4.0 and better axles so I think that's the way I'd go.

Good find for $300.00 .

I hate you, I as well have an M5OD just sitting around, tough choice, both are good options, follow your gut. (Personally I'd build up the B2 with the 4.0, ect)

drive the ranger with the m5od1 in it. it will take care of your needs and drag a trailer with the b2 once it reaches a point were it is no longer safe or legal to drive on the road. that ranger sounds like it has years of service as a DD still to come. i would not destroy either till its DEAD. AKA bodys shot, motor blows to bits, its just to damn expensive to fix etc. keep the RBVs plentiful and dont kill any of them. ten years from now you understand why.

Soon to come...A build thread! (or two:D)

I like your plan man! I would loose the bed (apparently you already have a buyer!) , shorten the WB to about 105-110" and do a tube deck/roll bar combo.

Keep it stock, I would love to dovetail it, but with a bed that is rust free and that straight, I can't justify chopping it. That's comparible to a chick with natural 36D's getting fake 30A boobs.

Now, Taking Boggin's Maxda's bed and bobbing it, that is more acceptable, like some 30A's to a 36D Fake set
