Hey everyone. Im having a hard shift problem in my 91 Ford Ranger. The previous owner told me the transmission and clutch have been replaced recently (well before I even bought the truck) but that doesn't mean anything to me. What does mean something to me is the fact that I'm occasionally having issues getting the truck in gear. The clutch pedal doesn't seem to have any softness to it at all and when i turn the truck off after having the issue, it instantly allows the truck to easily fl go into gear. My plan here was to bleed the clutch line from the transmission to start with (checking for air bubbles). If that didn't work i was going to follow up with a master cylinder replacement. again if that fails i guess it would come down to pulling the transmission all together. I guess what I'm hoping for is for it to be fixed with the first two options. I'm almost 100% convinced it's going to come down to a clutch replacement. what do you think?
