are the 4r44e output shafts the same from a 3.0 and a 4.0 ? I was told they interchange for the 4x4 most parts I bought a 4r44e off line I needed it for my 2000 ford ranger xlt with a 3.0 they shipped me a 2wd and assured me if I switched my tail housing and output shaft it would work I sent them my vin and pictures of my trans,so I want to repair my old trans and need a output shaft

If you can’t fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem
No they will not interchange. 3.0 has lube holes that the 4.0 do not use.
