Did it start doing it after the tune up?

be shure the wires are cliped all the way and or the plugs are too cold, call ford and use the right plugs (stock)

do you have access to a scan tool/ data logger? or live in so.cal.?

have you checked the secondary resistance of the coil? ( postive coil input to output termnal should be 4.8k to 8.8k ohms)

cap and rotor look good? is it timmed right (checked when the shorting bar removed)?

I have seen harmonic ballancers rotate on the crank mount, it caused rough idle, harsh vibrations, and the timming marks moved, be shure the rubber isolator is recessed. flush, bulging, cracked, and missing rubber needs to be replaced.

i had a friend of mine with a snap on scanner check it and he couldnt find anything wrong with it. the timing is set at 12 degrees i advanced it 2 degrees over the stock 10 and it runs alot stronger after i did that. and i havent checkied the coil yet. and it has a new timing chain cause the old one had alot of slack in it

get a spark checker and test the arc jump on the coil.

is it an automatic? the kick down cable may be acting up. of a sticking valve in the tranny...

BTW the spark checker like he linked to are great to have anyways. i work on a lot of small engines and use mine all the time.
