Um, all 4.0s have a crank sensor.

Do you mean a cam sensor?

that's a cam sensor, crank sensor is near the crank pulley on the front of the engine.

Cool um my question still stands the motor in the truck doesn’t have one the “new” one does can I swap and the new motor run without having to get the computer and wiring harness

Yes, as long as you take the upper intake off and swap the injector harness as well.

You don't even need to swap in the blank slug if you don't want to. You can leave the sensor on there and it can just be along for the ride.
