Gas is worse than diesel over there, or at least it was.Europe is through the roof as well. Heck, I think they are paying as much in taxes are they are for the fuel, perhaps more. SMDH....
I remember in the early 2000s my uncle was stationed in Stuttgart. He had his Tahoe shipped over to Germany and bought my aunt a diesel Audi wagon once they were there. He was getting fuel vouchers to pay for the taxes on the gasoline and in the three or four years they were there still spent more out of his own pocket on fuel for that beast than he spent on the purchase of the Audi and its fuel. The real kicker is that on top of all that he barely drove the thing because of the fuel prices.
