If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
I may be done with building trucks and cars. Having to put my V65 Magna back together from scratch has re-inighted my passion for motorcycles. I have a daily driver quality bike that get 32mpg with me cruising at 80-90 mph with pulls into the 100mph range (125 on my way to work this morning), not bad for a 34 year old bike I have less that $700 in.

I still need to change the fork seals and replace the warped rotor on the front and get the carbs cleaned/jetted

Who cares what you are building as long as you are having fun doing it?

Well...

I like bikes way more than cars and trucks. I have 5 bikes. I would only ride bikes except I have to haul kids. And I have to do things like carry 14 62# boxes of tile. Or haul a well accumulator or some drywall or a water heater. Or recover a car. I even have a bike with snow tires that I ride in the winter.

So I ride when I can and drive when I have to. I ride 10,000 and drive 10,000 every year.

I feel ya. My V65 is my daily driver. But I can’t find snow tires or even adventure tires that I can stud that will fit it

Yeah... still here.

I used to waste whole days riding around the two norther counties here. I have degeneration in my spine now and can't do it anymore. Enjoy it while you can.

I understand getting tired of doing the same thing all the time. If I was in better shape I wouldn't mind rebuilding a '70's-'80's bike. Have fun. Trucks will always be around if you want to come back to them.
