My clutch wont fully engage I think. it’s hard getting in to gear than it is hard to get in reverse and grinds a little it was like that when my old slave was bad I bled it yesterday and I drove a mile or 2 today on bouncy roads and stuff going 70 I don’t know could that have hurt it. Someone told me it pry wasn’t shimmed enough the machine shop cut .040 off and I put .045 shims I think they already cut it once.
My real question is, is there a way to shim it without taking the trans out its a 1994 ranger 4.0 4x4 spd so you can’t get much worst with taking it out. I was thinking take a piece of metal and measure how thick cut it to the throw out bearing size and tack it to the throw out bearing I’m not looking to get 150k from it only like 60k not even till I get a new truck and make this a off-road or make a diesel swap project. Thanks for any help
