Hey folks - first post, so please be kind.

After 6 months of totally monitoring and granny driving my 3.0L 2001, I finally found where this very elusive coolant leak was coming from - behind the timing belt cover. My biggest concern is how far I need to take this job to really know the problem is solved. I've read in a couple places that these covers tend to break down over time, but what else should I be looking at to really know the extent of any damage done? Its a good truck, with 230 kms, but other than this leak, its run smooth, straight and sturdy all through the 5 years I've owned it. I've gotten the water pump off, and attached both a pic of that and residue, as well as a pic of the timing cover. I understand that I'll know more with the cover off, but any info would be really helpful.
