Almost got the 79 302 and c4 finished up in the 1988 2.0 sbsc ranger 2wd manual. Seems like the driveshaft from the original 7.5 rear end fits right into the c4 and it's the right length as well to match up with the exploder rear end I put in. Did I get lucky with not having to do any drvieshaft work? Thanks.

Excellent. First thing to go easy! What about pinion angle on my axel over springs? Can't really change angle unless I move perches?

Pinion angle can be adjusted, within limitations (about 8 degrees) using angled shims.
