I'm looking for a center dash vent for a '95+ Ranger interior. There are two styles - one design has a shutoff control on the outside edge of the vents. That one will not work for me. I need the narrower version without the controls. See attached pictures for clarification. The two styles are not interchangeable because they're different widths.

My credo
Break it right the first time. Fix it better the next time.
Huh. I didn't know they came without the controls. Every one I have seen had the shutoffs.

I didn't either until I went to transfer my vents into the new bezel and they wouldn't fit. Just another comic misstep in this never ending saga. I think they may have been removed in 2000, but haven't been able to confirm.

I used the center vents from an explorer with the controls and just popped the vents themselves out (less controls) and they snapped right in place in my 02'. Width was the same in my case.

You mean the width of the individual vent units? I actually need the complete modular vent assembly that contains the two separate vent units.

Yeah I’m referring to the individual vents not the ducting that it attaches with the actuators.
