MAF donor vehicles

I know Mustangs and explorers are good swap donors but are there any other donor vehicles that are suitable like a merc grand marquis for example? im looking to do a swap into a 94 ranger and i know the mustang harness is apparently a simple swap and intake direction and H.O. are not an issue i will be rebuiding the engine to take care of that stuff.

what are you trying to do...are you swapping a mass air flow into a full size bronco or swapping in something into a ranger?

Putting a maf 5.0 into a 1994 ranger. I know anything could be made to work but from my understanding a 5spd maf mustang harness was the simplest to swap. I also would like to know what other cars had a maf 5.0. Thank you

Explore/Mountaineer is the norm for rangers.

For a '94 Ranger, the '89-'93 Mustang mass air harness(es) are the simplest. Each one is three pieces, and each year has slight differences.

I'm not sure any other vehicle had a mass air, sequential injection OBDI harness ECU.
Oops... And Cougar/Tbird.

The Explorer 5.0 harness would be easy enough, also. Simple mods like putting the OBDII diagnostic port in the engine bay can be done.

Thank you that's what I was looking for. I think I might just get a harness from rjminjectiontech.com it's 1 harness compared to 3 then I can splice in what I need. Is there a way to make a stock 94 tach read the 8 cyl properly?

The '94/'95 Mustang harness is useable, too. It's all about budget.

No problem making the stock tach work.

Any tech articles on the 94 tach I saw one but I think it was for a newer tach than the 94

Basically, there is a potentiometer on the back of your cluster for adjustment, or an extra wire needs connecting, or you can swap an F150 tach module. I don't have a direct link for you.
